    Organizations searching for a testing solution can start with My Shepherd at any time. It all begins with a conversation to understand the organization’s needs in terms of how many weekly tests, age range of members, testing style, schedule and creating a deployment plan. The organization assigns a liaison that works with My Shepherd to implement the deployment strategy.

  • Customization

    From engagement, we move onto customization. No two organizations are alike and as such, we have built a series of features and modules that meet the unique needs of the organization. Bringing testing to the digital age also requires constant improvement and we look forward to rolling out new features all the time. Features and design increase member engagement and to further this mission, organizations will get a unique landing page that can be branded.

What COVID-19 test does My Shepherd Testing use?

We offer our RT-PCR test from DiaCarta which provides a sensitivity rate of 100% and a specificity of 100% at 100 copies/ml. This is one of the most sensitive tests currently approved by the FDA and very effective in early detection.

How Will I Get My Results?

Results will be promptly sent to your email and phone via SMS. If your result is positive, you may also be contacted by phone. Results are typically ready within 24 hours after our lab receives the sample.

What Should I Do If I Have a Positive Result?

A positive result means that the test has detected signs of an infection. Many people are asymptomatic meaning you may not show symptoms of being sick, however, if you’re currently not exhibiting symptoms it doesn’t mean you won’t at a later time as symptoms typically show up between 4 to 7 days after infection. If you have positive results, we recommend following the CDC's official COVID guidelines to keep you and those around you as safe as possible.

How Accurate are the Tests We Use?

Our tests have a sensitivity rate of 99.8% and specificity of 99% at 100 copies per mL. This is one of the most sensitive tests currently on the market.

Should I Get Tested for COVID-19?

In general, the answer is yes for a variety of reasons:

  • Displaying symptoms of a COVID infection

  • Possible exposure to someone with COVID-19

  • Have an upcoming event such as a wedding or gathering with friends, family and congregations

  • If a co-worker or employee is suspected of having COVID or shows COVID symptoms.

  • If you’re planning on traveling, many airlines and destinations require a test prior to travel, however, please check with your airline and destination for details.

Do You Accept My Insurance?

My Shepherd Testing accepts all insurance types from PPO’s to HMO’s. We will also accept individuals without insurance. Tests are covered under insurance for certain situations such as recent exposure to COVID, someone exhibiting symptoms or individuals who are attending a large gathering and this applies to office and education environments.

Is Your COVID-19 Testing Painful?

Our nasal swab collection makes it easy for the patient to administer it comfortably. These swabs do not go deep in the nasal passage (anterior nares) making sample collection easy and convenient.
